Amy Fairman, RMT
Amy joined the clinic in February 2018 and is excited to make a difference in the lives of the patients she treats. She graduated in 2012 in Ontario and in 2017 passed the rigorous board exams run by the College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia, allowing her to practice as a Registered Massage Therapist in BC.
Amy treats a variety of patients using a variety of modalities but specializes in the following: deep tissue, lymphatic drainage, myofascial trigger point, joint mobility, connective tissue, head, neck & shoulder conditions and lower-back, hip & leg conditions. She can help with sports injuries, car accidents, and specializes in working with desk workers who suffer from head forward posture due to working on a computer all day. She believes in incorporating an element of relaxation into her therapeutic treatment, to allow the body to better accept the therapy. She also likes to employ remedial exercise techniques with her patients, teaching them ways to improve their condition at home and further the treatment outside of the clinic.
Outside of massage therapy Amy is a fan of hockey, baseball, and spends as much time as she can out in nature, exploring the woods that surround the Okanagan.
She is registered as a provider with ICBC, MSP, DVA & RCMP. She can also direct bill to most insurances! Right now Amy works Mondays and Thursdays, 10 am to 7 pm.
